TRIBUTE TO FALLEN SOLDIERS

About Us

Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Northwest began this incredible journey of honoring and paying tribute to America's fallen service members back in the summer of 2009. This journey began in the state of Oregon. During those early years, the State of Oregon had more than 120 fallen service members throughout the state. It was our ambition to honor each and every one of these fallen service members to graciously acknowledge their service and sacrifice and to remind each Gold Star family their fallen service member wasn't forgotten.

The mechanism to do this was through an annual motorcycle ride and the creation and implementation of our Fallen Soldier Home Visits. The concept was simple. Schedule an exclusive visit with each family, ride to the family's home and share our respect, love and gratitude for their service members loss.  It was our personal way to graciously say 'thank you' and remind each family there are still grateful American's across the country who care and choose this platform to lift them up.

In our very first ride ( Late June of 2009 ), more than 320 motorcycles arrived at Salem Harley-Davidson in Salem, Oregon to participate in our inaugural ride.   It was a single day event in which we scheduled just ( four ) Fallen Soldier Home Visits. It was an incredible day that has now turned into eleven wonderful years and more than 800 fallen service members honored in every corner of the country.

We Need To Do More

After four years of traveling through the State of Oregon, our small group of volunteer motorcycle riders saw the need to do more.   It was our hope to venture out of the State of Oregon to neighboring states to honor more fallen service members.   And we did.    In the summer of 2013 we made our first out of state Fallen Soldier Home Visits.   In July of that year we began our ride in Renton, Washington at the local Harley Davidson store.    Our scheduled route was south through Washington, through Oregon, through Northern California and down the coast to Los Angeles.   From Los Angeles, we traveled northeast through desert to Mammoth Lakes and north into Carson City, Nevada with the ride formally ending in Lake Tahoe, Nevada at what is now the Hardrock Hotel & Casino where we held our Closing Ceremony in the rear parking lot on a grand stage.

This first out of state ride was also the very first ride in which we created and traveled the Fallen Soldiers Memorial Flame.    The Memorial Flame has now gone through a total of three different creative modifications and rebuilds to what you see today.

The Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch was born!   For the next three years, ( 2014, 2015 & 2016 ) our Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride scheduled Fallen Soldier Home Visits primarily in the Pacific Northwest states including Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and South Dakota.

We Felt There Was Still More To Do

After the 2016 tribute ride, we all took great pride in our accomplishments, but we all felt there was still much more we could do.

Hence the creation of our ( cross country ) Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride which now begins every summer in Eugene, Oregon and ends at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C.   This annual cross country journey across the United States now allows us to travel a new ride route each and every summer to meet and touch the thousands and thousands of Gold Star families living in every corner of the country.

Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Northwest is a group of extremely like minded and patriotic American's who are veterans, ex-law enforcement, mothers & fathers, Gold Star families and everyday people who choose to ride their motorcycles throughout this great country and wrap their arms around families who've paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The primary mission of Tribute to Fallen Soldiers is to remind each family they are loved and never forgotten.

It's also a mission that invites anyone, and everyone to participate in!

There's no fee to ride and all are welcome!

As we enter into our twelfth year, our 2021 ride route will take us through Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland and Virginia.
