Tribute To Fallen Soldiers

‘ A Run to Arlington National Cemetery’
July 15 – August 3, 2017

The date for the 2017 Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride is set.

This summer’s tribute ride will depart Eugene, Oregon on Saturday July 15th and is scheduled to arrive into Washington D.C on Tuesday August 1st.

This is our annual ( 17 day – 3,000 mile ) cross country motorcycle ride in which we’ll be escorting the Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch from Eugene to Arlington National Cemetery in the nations capitol to honor and pay tribute to America’s fallen soldiers.

As our escorted ride procession makes its way across the country we’ll be making scheduled stops at the homes of our fallen soldiers. These stops are what we refer to as Fallen Soldier Home Visits. At each home visit we make we’ll present our ‘Memorial Plaque of Distinguished Service’ to the surviving family members to simply show our gratitude for their fallen heroes service and sacrifice and to remind each family their fallen soldier isn’t forgotten.

When the ride procession arrives into Washington D.C the Fallen Soldiers Memorial Flame will be escorted into the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery where the Memorial Flame will be formally extinguished in memory o

f all fallen soldiers. This very special ceremony will take place on Thursday morning August 3rd.

** There’s no fee to ride. All individual riders, ride groups and chapters are encouraged to ride. Whether you ride one leg, one day or all 17 days, it’s an experience you won’t forget as we set out to honor more than 45 fallen heroes through 12 different states.

Tribute to Fallen Soldiers NW is proud to partner with American Legion Posts in each of our overnight cities as we make our way across the country. At each overnight stop we make, the local American Legion Post will open their doors to

allow us to either camp or spend the night inside of their properties. All riders are encouraged to bring a sleeping bag, pill

ow and soft mat for comfort.

In addition, each American Legion Post that acts as our official ‘Overnight Host’ will provide an arrival pot luck dinner each evening and a pot luck departure breakfast for our riders. These meals are complimentary through the assistance of each community.

Riders who do not wish to spend the night at these Overnight Host facilities are free to find local campsites or hotels in the area.

The ride procession will depart each day from these locations at approximately 9:00 am. Our travel days typically end between 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
